065 l'isola tiburina

I suppose that L'Isola Tiburina would be translated as Tiber Island but that sounds really funny. Nevertheless, it's just a small island right in the middle of the Tevere, connected by pedestrian bridges to both sides. They even keep the motorcycles out by means of this curved rod that is navigable on foot but not on moto.

The Fatebenefratelli hospital takes up about 3/4 of the island - the remainder of the space is occupied by this church and adjoining buildings. It's also very important to note that one of my favorite gelato shops is in the building between the tower and church.
