All weekend long I was a nervous wreck, waiting for JG to text me scores from the double-elimination CAN softball tournament in DC. Auburn did well, they really did, although I can't help but be disappointed in the results of the last game. We were seeded in what was called the "Bracket of Death" and had much more difficult opponents this year than last year. Here is the breakdown.

Round 1: beat UMass
Round 2: lost to Penn State
Round 3: beat Colorado
Round 4: beat Syracuse
Round 5: beat Pitt
Round 6: lost to Maryland

Apparently, Maryland scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game and force extra innings. They scored 2 more in the 8th to finish it off. There's no team I'd like to beat more than Maryland, because they are very arrogant and are always bad-mouthing Auburn. Oh well. It was still a great tourney run, and a truly great team to play on.
